Youth are an important part of our club for it is the youth that determine
the future of our breed. There are several outlets for the youth of our club:
Participation in funshows, trail rides, farm tours, meetings which offer
programs for learning, and breed demonstrations.
The outstanding youth contest which is held at the Buckeye Challenge Horse
Show each year offers the youth an opportunity to compete for a $500.00 savings
bond and the chance to go on to compete at the National level at the Grand
National Morgan Horse Show in Oklahoma City. The competition involves a judging
contest, a speech contest, a written test, and a riding test. There are age
divisions for seniors, juniors, and pee-wees.
